Too much nail polish!

Here’s my July ‘It Girl’ box from Julep! Unfortunately I received it a few days into July and wasn’t able to use the polishes for Canada Day.

This month Julep threw in a free polish depending on where you live. I received O Canada as my free polish (first polish shown), Daphne, Mila and Kate.

As always this mani started off with a layer of Seche Base. I applied a brush stroke each of Barry M’s Pure Turquoise, Cyan Blue, and Cobalt Blue to a triangle make up sponge. Using the sponge I dabbed my nails in the slightest up and down movement to get the three blues to blend together. I did that 3 times to get the nail polishes opaque making sure they were completely dry before applying the next (or else all the layers end up getting sponged off!). My fingers were really messy so I had to clean my cuticles with Q-tips, my paint brush and acetone before I could top it off with a layer of Seche Vite.

Happy Canada Day!

I tried to keep my Canada Day mani as least tacky as possible! All my nails started with a layer of Seche Base. I applied 2 coats of Deborah Lippmann’s Footloose to all my fingers except to my ring finger which has 2 layers of Sally Hansen in White. Then I applied a layer of Snow Globe by China Glaze to my thumb, pointer and ring finger. Another layer of Footloose was applied to my thumb and pointer finger for a jelly sandwich! Lastly, I added a coat of Love & Beauty (Forever 21) to my ring finger and topped it all of with a layer of Seche Vite!

For this design I started with my usual, Seche Base. Then I applied 2 coats of Galahad from The Mythicals collection by A england. Galahad has a really smooth application and was completely opaque in 2 coats although I’m sure if I was more careful when I was applying the polish it would’ve been fine with just 1 coat. I really love this colour, there’s nothing even close to it in my collection. Then I used part of a full nail stamp design for the little flowers from plate m81 by Konad along with A england’s Bridal Veil from The Legend collection. Surprisingly, this polish worked great for stamping and showed up completely opaque! Thanks for making such amazing polishes! Then of course, topped off with a layer of Seche Vite.

Fading Blue Holographic!

This is the mani I wore on my trip to Florida! Unfortunately it was taken under the boring Toronto sunlight which does these polishes no justice!

Each finger has a coat of Seche Base and 2 coats of colour. The thumb is a Cosmetic Arts polish, pointer is Orly’s Snowcone, middle is Barry M’s Blueberry Ice Cream, ring finger has another Cosmetic Arts polish and lastly, my pinky has a coat of white followed by Barry M’s Blue Moon. Then I put 2 layers of HITS Hefesto for the holographic. Finally, topped it all off with Seche Vite!
